Laptop Repair Terms and Conditions

Please ensure that you read and fully understand our Terms and Conditions before you send your laptop in for repair because by completing and submitting the form you are agreeing to be bound by these terms.

Please note that failure to accept our terms and conditions will result in you not being able to repair your laptop.

You must be capable of entering into a legally binding contract.

We send a foam filled security box to ensure your laptop arrives with us in the condition it left you. The security box will be sealed in front of you and you will be given a receipt.

Even though we give you a written or verbal estimate, we always perform a detailed inspection of your laptop when it arrives and recalculate if necessary, if for any reason the price changes we will let your know. We do not carry out additional repairs without your permission.

If you decide to decline the repair estimate or your laptop is unrepairable or beyond economical repair we will gladly return your laptop in its original condition for a fee of £32 to cover the cost of inspection and carriage costs.

Failure to reply to an offer will result in your laptop being retained for a period of 28 days before being recycled or disposed of. Payments not made with the first 14 days after repair is complete must be made by BACS.

We accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of such data and it is your responsibility to ensure that such data is removed from the laptop prior to you sending it to us.

If you are concerned about personal data we recommend you back up your data before sending us your laptop.

All repairs need to be paid for in full before they are returned. Failure to pay will result in your laptop being retained for a period of 28 days before being recycled or disposed of.

All our repairs are guaranteed for a minimum of 90 days. However some parts such as new lcd screens, hard drives will carry a manufacturer’s warranty of 12 months. If you are unsure of the level of warranty cover please ask one of our representatives and they will gladly explain.

Motherboard Quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of quotation

Motherboard repairs are guaranteed with a 90 days return to base warranty from the date of the repair, however if you have to return your laptop to us for a re-repair we will take into consideration the time in our workshop. If we are unable to repair your laptop you are only liable for the collection and delivery costs of £32.00

The Company shall have no liability to the Customer for any loss or damage of any nature arising from any breach of any express or implied warranty or condition of the Contract or any negligence, breach of statutory or other duty on the part of the Company or in any way of or in connection with the performance of or failure to perform the Contract except for death or personal injury resulting from the Company’s negligence, and expressly stated in these conditions.

If the Customer establishes that any Goods or Services have not been delivered, have been delivered damaged, are not of the correct quantity or do not comply with their description the Company shall, at its option, replace with similar Goods or Services any Goods or services which are missing, lost or damaged or do not comply with their description, allow the Customer credit for their invoice value or repair any damaged Goods or Services.

If the Customer establishes that any Goods or Services are defective the Customer must return those Goods or Services forthwith, at its own cost, to the Company which will be repaired or replaced at the Company’s discretion and according to manufacturers warranty. If the Goods or Services can not be replaced or repaired within 3 months of the Company’s receipt thereof the Company may credit the Customer in part or in full at it’s own discretion.

If the Customer returns to the Company any Goods or Services for repair and some are found to be fault free then the Company may, at its own discretion, charge the Customer for its reasonable handling costs.

The delivery of any repaired or replacement Goods or Services shall be at the Company’s premises or other delivery point specified for the original Goods or Services.

Where the Company is liable in accordance with this condition in respect of only some or part of the Goods or Services the Contract shall remain in full force and effect in respect of the other or other parts of the Goods or Services and no set-off or other claim shall be made by the Customer against or in respect of such other or other parts of the Goods or Services.

No claim against the Company shall be entertained for any defect arising from any design or specification provided or made by the Customer or if any adjustment’s, alterations to other work has been done to the Goods or Services by any person except the Company.

The Company shall not be liable where any Goods or Services are lost or damaged in transit and all claims by the Customer shall be made against the carrier.

In no circumstances shall the liability of the Company to the Customer under this condition exceed the invoice value of the Goods or Services

BY PLACING AN ORDER FOR GOODS OR SERVICES WITH US, YOU ARE BOUND BY THESE TERMS UNLESS AGREED OTHERWISE IN WRITING. ALL STATUTORY RIGHTS APPLY AS PER THE STATUTE OF THE UNITED KINGDOM AND EUROPEAN UNION WHERE APPLICABLE. YOU SHOULD KEEP A COPY OF THESE TERMS.

All prices are quoted exclusive of vat unless otherwise stated.

Your repaired laptop will be returned via courier in a sealed security box unless otherwise agreed

Making a purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add your items to the shopping cart. After you finish your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ where you will be asked for some additional details before we complete the order.

We accept all major credit and debit cards. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. This includes back ordered items. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or the Internet.

When confirmation of order is received, this indicates that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

All orders are sent using our next day delivery service. International orders are generally received in less than 7 days. If your goods are out of stock we will email you to let you know when they will be due in. We will also give you the option of a refund if the time schedule is not suitable.

Credit card security

When your order is placed on our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee

We want our customers to be completely satisfied with the service we provide. That’s why we offer a 3 month warranty on motherboard repairs, 6 month warranty on new motherboards, and 12 month warranty on all other replacement parts. Please note, in the event of a laptop fault, the customer will be liable for the delivery fees.

Privacy Policy

We Love Laptops do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the ‘Remember Me’ option. Laptop repairs

All units will be kept at We Love Laptops until the repair is paid for in full. If the Laptop repair is not paid for after 90 days of notification of repair, We Love Laptops are within their right to sell the laptop to cover their repair costs.
